Now here,s a rarity, an EM Cd single and i would never have expected Sven Hansen to be behind such a project but it appears that this single is intended more as a foretaste of the planned album T.A.I.Transcriptions and Incidents.( never finished album )That this was released as a CD single might sugest this is more commercial than Sven,s previous offerings andthis proved to be the case whith a sprightly , up tempo workout being the order of the day.

The track Altiplano come,s in 3 versions, the short radio edit ,and no rain edit being virtually identical, save for the percussive effects tacked onto the beginning of the latter track. The project was influenced by the riddle of the Nazca lines in South America and this can be slightly discerned within the backing percussion but only very slightly, basically its an up tempo synth workout.

The Nazca Extended mix clocs in at over 8 minutes which can be a bit tiresome given that little in the way of anything new is added, apart from some spoken voice footage at the beginning,it is a bit repettitive.

The other track is The Atacama Man which be a resemblance to JMJarre circa Equinox with a surging but flowing sequencer line supporting an expertly constructed melodic vista.

This should make enough ears pick up to garber interest in the forthcoming album and will hopefully see Ivo really making inraods into the electronic scene, something he hasn,t really done as yet.

A CD-single, now no rarity anymore but years ago (like 1998) this was something special. This CD-Single is a pre-tasting of a new upcoming album. Well I was impressed. After hearing C.I.E., Sven has made a good progress. This CD sounds very happy. The CD contains 3 versions of Altiplano and one other track. Let's start with this track. It's track 3, and is very influenced by Jean Michel Jarre's Equinoxe. Then the title track Altiplano. Despite, the three versions, you can say that this is a very up-tempo track. Except that track 1 and track 4 are almost identical edits. The only difference is the percussive effects. The second edit (The Nazca extended edit) is a little too long and repetitive. And even the voice samples can't change this
